Lindsey Porter, DVM
Dr. Lindsey Porter is an associate veterinarian at Pieper Veterinary and part of the rotating intern class of 2022-2023. She was originally born in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and lived throughout the state while she attended veterinary school. She graduated from Hope College for her undergraduate degree and later obtained her veterinary degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to medicine, Dr. Porter has also studied Fear Free handling, suicide prevention, and diversity and inclusion. She has a clinical interest in the fields of emergency medicine and neurology.
Dr. Porter was first inspired to become a veterinarian by her grandfather, a retired dairy farmer with a love for nature and many stories regarding the animals he had met and helped throughout the years. When not working, Dr. Porter enjoys watercolor painting, swimming, biking, running, hiking, and learning how to play the guitar. She lives with her dog, Hazel, and her cat, Momo.
