Surgical Resident
Courtney Gallant, DVM
Dr. Courtney Gallant is a Surgery Resident who has been with Pieper Veterinary starting in the summer of 2021. Originally from Prince Edward Island in Canada, she graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelors of Science degree in biology, and graduated from Atlantic Veterinary College in 2020. Dr. Gallant completed a rotating internship at Oregon State University and a surgical internship at Pieper Veterinary, and she has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and wound management.
Dr. Gallant lives with her 4-year old Pitbull/Rottweiler mix "Ike," and a Sphynx kitten "Walnut." When not working she enjoys hiking with her dog, and also holds a black belt in karate. Dr. Gallant's favorite part of being a veterinarian is the variety of surgical cases and challenges that she gets to work on, and the reward of being able to send pets home to their families that are feeling better and on the road to recovery.
