"We would like to take a few minutes to thank Dr. Turner, Dr. Urbonas, all of the other doctors that we did not meet, the critical care staff and the administrative and reception staff for all of your efforts, patience, and kindness during Nino’s hospitalization... We had so much hope and so many questions and you never made us feel as though we were a bother... We will always be grateful and thankful for the care and support that we all received. "
B. FamilyOur Resuscitation and Critical Care Department works together with our Emergency Department to provide your pet the highest standard of care possible in the event of an emergency.
Our unique services include advanced systems such as mechanical ventilation for supporting the lungs, bedside echocardiography and screening ultrasonography for immediate point-of-care imaging, intravenous nutrition, and blood transfusions. We utilize a new, human-grade telemetric monitoring system for checking heart rate and vital signs, and our facilities are equipped with the latest technologies to provide state-of-the art care to your pets 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The Resuscitation and Critical Care Department works hand-in-hand with our other specialty departments to provide support for critically ill patients that require specialized care. We also perform anesthesia for patients with blood disorders, heart disease, or for emergency and complex surgeries that require additional expertise and attention.
We understand that your pets are a part of your family, and you will have the opportunity to speak with a doctor every day that they are in our care. Our teams of highly-trained veterinary professionals will work to create an individualized treatment plan and ensure the best possible outcome for you and your pet.
Working with your primary care veterinarian
Your general practice veterinarian is an important part of your pet’s health and we work as an extension of their services when advanced or after-hours treatment is necessary. We will notify your veterinarian that your pet visited our critical care service, and provide them with treatment and follow-up information to continue your pet’s care once you leave our hospital.
