Dr. Sarah Sterling

Neurology Fellow

Sarah Sterling, BVM&S, MRCVS

Dr. Sterling is a neurology and neurosurgery fellow at Pieper Veterinary. After previous completing her rotating and neurology interships here from 2016-2018, we are pleased to welcome her back as a fellow. She completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania’s Referral Center for Animal Models of Human Disease, with a focus on Neimann-Pick Disease Type C, and is now back at Pieper to complete her neurology and neurosurgery fellowship.

A New York native, Dr. Sterling graduated from Binghamton University with a double major in psychobiology and music, and obtained her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She lives with her cat named Peach and a betta fish named Stravinsky. When not working she enjoys hiking, traveling, marathon training, singing, and playing music (viola and guitar). She enjoys neurology due to the variety and complexity of cases she sees, and being able to see the amazing changes that occur as the nervous system heals.
