Dr. David Carabetta

Critical Care Veterinarian

David Carabetta, DVM

Dr. David Carabetta is a Credentialed Candidate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care who joined Pieper in 2019.Originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, Dr. Carabetta graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2007, and received his doctorate from the Ohio State University in 2013. He completed a residency in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine at Michigan State University, and has special interests in urologic emergencies and interventional radiology. He is a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.

Dr. Carabetta lives in Cheshire with his wife, two dogs Bern and Ichi, and three cats Pepper, Poppy, and Munky. When not working he enjoys fishing and restoring classic cars, including his 1968 Volkswagon bus. A native of Massachusetts, he’s glad to be returning to the East Coast after his time in the Midwest. His favorite aspect of being a veterinarian is the variety of cases he sees every day and the new and unique challenges that they present, allowing him to continuously learn new things.
