Associate Veterinarian - ER
Tyeisha Watters, DVM, LATG
Dr. Tyeisha Watters is an associate veterinarian at Pieper Veterinary and part of our rotating small animal medicine and surgery intern class of 2024-2025. Born in Utah, she grew up in Nevada and graduated from the University of Nevada with a dual B.S. in biology and in veterinary science. She attended the WIMU Regional Veterinary Program between Utah State University and Washington State University and graduated with her degree in veterinary medicine in 2024. She has a special interest in emergency medicine, exotic animal medicine, and laboratory animal medicine.
Dr. Watters first developed an interest in veterinary medicine when her childhood pet gerbil became sick, and she worked to figure out the problem and find the best way to heal them. That passion for solving the diagnostic puzzle and providing the best treatment continues, and today her favorite aspect of being a veterinarian is being able to provide those answers to pets and their families.
Dr. Watters lives with her dog Echo, a 9-year old cocker spaniel/Cathoula mix, and a rat named Bunson. Throughout her schooling she was a member of the marching band and color guard, competing world-wide. She has coached at several schools in Nevada and is passionate about teaching and coaching, as well as instructing country line dance.
