Associate Veterinarian - Surgery
Paydor Liu, BVM&S, MRCVS
Dr. Paydor Liu is an associate veterinarian at Pieper Veterinary and is undergoing a year-long internship with our surgery specialty department. Born in New York City, she grew up in Maryland outside of Washington D.C. and attended the University of Edinburgh and the Royal School of Veterinary Studies in Scotland, from which she graduated in 2019. She is a member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), BVA (British Veterinary Association), BSAVA (British Small Animal Veterinary Association), and the RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons). She has a clinical interest in both soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, as well as exotic animals.
After living in the U.K. for years, Dr. Liu is excited to continue her studies at Pieper Veterinary. She always been passionate about animals, and has wanted to be a zookeeper or a veterinarian since she was a young child. Her favorite aspect of her job is being able to figure out the "puzzle" of diagnosing an animal who can't communicate, and and helping keep them as comfortable as possible. She plays the piano and the violin, and enjoys visiting farmer's markets.
