Sarah Lord, DVM
Dr. Sarah Lord is a Veterinarian that has interests in soft tissue surgery, wound care, and preventative care. She has been at Pieper Veterinary since August of 2016 and is a member of the AVMA and CVMA. Born and raised in Norwich, CT, Dr. Lord is a proud UConn Husky, earning her undergraduate degree in 2009, with a major in biological sciences and minor in chemistry. She received her DVM from Iowa State University of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Following her schooling, Dr. Lord completed a rotating internship at Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group in Brooklyn, NY.
The first three years of Dr. Lord’s undergrad studies were focused on becoming an MD. She took an animal science class during her last year, found herself in love with the comparative physiology of different animal species, and changed her focus to become a doctor of veterinary medicine. At home, Dr. Lord spends time with her best friend, a golden retriever/German wire-haired pointer mix named Brie. The ability to provide loving care to furry friends that can’t always help themselves, and a constantly changing day-to-day, are what Dr. Lord loves about being part of the Pieper family.
